Song: Stick Season

Lyrics: "I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks..."

My photos connect to Stick Season by Noah Kahan because they reflect the themes and emotions of the song and album. The bare trees, cool colours, and quiet landscapes represent the season after fall, which mirrors the feelings of isolation, reflection, and feeling hopeful. Nature is used as a place to heal, somewhere your problems don't seem as big, and this particular song and album represent that for me.

Song: Billy Stay

Lyrics: "Take me where the winds howl..."

This line connects to my photos because it highlights open landscapes and natural surroundings, reflecting the emotional themes in this album. The music describes wide roads, dusty fields, and wind as a backdrop for feeling lost, free, or searching for something more, my photographs capture the same sense of journey, and connection to the world around us.

Song: Clean

Lyrics:

"Rain came pouring down when I was drowning

that's when I could finally breathe

and by morning gone was any trace of you

I think I am finally clean".

This lyric connects to my photos because it uses water and weather imagery to show the emotional process of the healing process of letting go and healing after something difficult. The song describes a storm washing away pain, rain, sky, emotional release, and finding clarity after hard times. To me this album and song represent there is always the sun after the storm.
